February Week Three
Week 3
Only a couple of outings, with a pretty major failure in Yarner Wood, picking up only a redpoll by call, with a couple other more typical species.
However my second ever jack snipe, was a nice save bird-wise, seen in the Exe area.
Pochard at Bowling Green Marsh, Feb 19th
Highlights of the week included - jack snipe, redpoll, pochard, goosander, mandarin duck, pintail, siskin, common scoter, firecrest, great northern diver, & a high count of 11 red-breasted mergansers, with 9 on the Exe and 2 on the Teign.

Other wildlife - a few yearticks were picked up with 3 lifers; Nalassus laevioctostriatus, banded centipede, & saucer bug. Along with the former two, saw my first blunt-tailed snake millipede of the year under a log at Yarner Wood.
